Adopt a Jatropha is a project in southern Spain were the adoption of one or more trees can contribute to a cleaner environment and protects the land from erosion.
Jatropha is a good replacement when fossil fuel is running out. This will be a serious problem. in the next 3 to 4 decades
We are talking about Jatropha witch has found his way trough Africa. The seeds of the Jatrophaplant are processed into biofuel.
The seeds contain on average 30 to 45% oil that's needed.
It also contains a high concentration of glycerin witch is useful to the soap industry.
What remains can be returned to the land as fertilizer or can be compressed into firebriquettes.
Besides the possebility of small-scale biofuel production it is also jobs for local people.
To develop this project your help is needed
The first seeds are donated by Ruud van Eck entrepreneur and founder of Diligent energy systems in Eindhoven the Netherlands.
Within Europe there are little or no business dealing with the production of biofuel.
The intent is to plant 1ha ( +/- 2500 plants) with Jatropha.
And here i need you help.
Trough the Adopt a Jatropha form you can for € 2.50,- per month adopt a plant and contribute to reduce global warming and create jobs for local people.
Individual donations are also welkom.
The money wil be spend on workingmaterials and to purches land to expand the project.
